Would you like to know how to calculate your body fat percentage? While most of us think about slimming down, the amount of adipose tissue,so called "fat" you're carrying around is really much more significant than weight.


Whenever you should be measuring anything, it should be your body-fat percentage, not weight. Your weight doesn't precisely reflect the level of your physical fitness.






Body fat is calculated with what is called Body Mass Index, or BMI.

A women that's in shape should accept a body fat percentage range from 21 % to 31 %.

If you're in extraordinary shape, your body fat percentage could be as low as 10%.

For men, if you're healthy and in shape, your body fat percentage should be between 14% and 25%. If you are in first-class (excellent) shape, your body fat percentage could be as low as 2%.

To count your body fat percentage, write down how much you weigh but you have to be honest. Think back, no one will witness this but you. Multiply your current weight by 703.

Next, write down your height, in inches. Multiply by that same number (703). And then you'll divide your weight number by your height number. That's your BMI.

E.g., if your weight were 150 lbs x 703, your weight reply would be 70,300. If your height is 5’4”, that would be 64 inches x 64 for a total of 4,096. Taking the 70,300 divided by 4,096, you show up with a BMI of 17.16.

There are another methods to measure your body fat percentage but this will give you an immediate approximation of where you're at.

Whenever you are thinking about thinning, remember the quantity of fat you're carrying around is in reality so much more important than weight.
