The Basics Of Weight Loss

The Basics Of Weight Loss
When it comes to weight loss, going through unsuccessful diets and out of control obesity might lead you to believe that losing weight is such a hard thing to do,but it's quite easy, at least in theory.

There's only one thing you need to do, wich is to keep the amount of calories that you burn bigger than the amount of calories that you consume, just simple maths. This is the weight loss 101.

First, you need to figure out how many calories you're burning every day. There are some formulas that have emerged over the years that calculate how many calories you burn per day established on your sex, age, weight, height and physical activity. When applying these formulas, remember that the number you get only gives you an approximation not an exact number that never changes day after day.

1 to 2 pounds per week is considered the safe weight loss. While it's possible to lose more, it's extremely unhealthy to do so. So how many calories do you really have to cut out of your diet? We all know that 1 pound of body fat equals about 3500 calories. Let's say that you want to lose one pound in a week, so you need to cut 3500 calories out of your diet per week. i know this might sound like a lot, but if we split 3500 calories per 7 days,it comes out to a fair 500 calorie per day.

The next step is to ask yourself how you would like to remove any undesired weight. You can cut 500 calories out of your diet per day, or step-up the amount of calories you burn by 500 calories per day. Combining these two methods is the most effective way to begin your weight loss journey.
